Killarney

The lively town of Killarney has plenty to offer! Watch the video below:

Killarney is situated in the heart of the south-west of Ireland.   Killarney is the town in the National Park, the breathtaking beauty of the landscape, the majestic mountains and mystical lakes combine to make Killarney the ultimate experience when visiting Ireland.

Killarney’s origins date back to the early sixth century.

We and Killarney people are very proud of our vibrant charming town, it is a lovely place to live, as well as to visit. You will see for yourself, lovely flower hanging baskets, quaintly painted buildings, very clean streets with cosy coffee shops, great traditional pubs, engaging galleries and feel the addictive lure into our new and secondhand bookshops.  There are wonderful bistros and restaurants, internationally famous offering a choice to suit all palates and pockets. It is no wonder Killarney has been awarded “The Tidiest Town in Ireland”!  Killarney has so much to offer and the friendliness and pride of the locals is obvious. You will have to try the unique traditional mode of transport, a Jaunting car trip (a horse & cart).

There is nothing nicer after a day of sightseeing, than to stroll through the colourful streets and lanes of Killarney, with the street entertainers adding a magic to the air and the coffee shops and eateries spilling out onto the streets with candles and lights only adding to the holiday atmosphere. Do not forget to buy a real homemade ice cream and enjoy it while strolling or sit and savour the scene even more!
